Tom got ANOTHER promotion! Operations Manager.
He'll have a desk and computer and get to sit down once in awhile. It will mean more money and, we're hoping, better hours. It doesn't kick in for a few weeks yet, which is time he will take to work on some writing projects and other things, in between short work days.
I am so proud of him for starting as a general laborer and being so loyal, hard-working and capable that they had to create a position for him.
He'll use his degree someday, I'm sure, but right now he is happy. He really cares about the people he works with and loves the physical demands of this job that don't come with the writing profession.
He's a total champ.
