We're home. We were just dropped off after a weekend spent in Idaho with the fam. Suzanne and Stephen's wedding. A 10 hour drive. I feel wrecked.
The wedding was Saturday, 4 o'clock and after cleanup (dishwashing) (in heels) and then driving here and there collecting things and saying goodbye to our Idaho loves and then getting to the hotel and packing and showering and somehow managing to revel in our last bit of Spring Break, we fell asleep, who knows when, and woke to the alarm at 7:15 Idaho-time (aka 6:15am Normal-time aka a time of day I am unfamiliar with, especially when I go to bed all late). Continental breakfast, more sad goodbyes and 10 hours of backseat driving in a truck. Thanks, Mom, for the sandwiches.
My feet are still feeling last-night's high-heels, my bum is still feeling that seat and my tongue is a mess after too much sugar. I'm feeling the need to detox... but I was sent home with cake.
I got my old lava lamp and lots of other neat things. We took a million pictures but were too vegetative to find the cord to the thing and whatever so those I'll post later.
Tom is playing video games, pre-shower, pre-trying to figure out what the heck we're going to eat tonight.
The fish is alive and fed, tank got a bit of a going-over with the sponge-wand. No permanent damage from the desertion, I wager.
S & S are in Mexico.
We're going to miss everyone so much. It is nice to be back to the land of Tom and Dinah, everything's so real.
