Is it time for another Etsy shout-out, or what?
You know, I love Etsy.com. It's like reading a magazine and shopping at the same time. AND supporting something worthwhile. I have to say though, usually when I go onto Etsy I'm not looking to buy anything but to be inspired.
My favorite is when both happen.
Today I read a feature on fellow-Oregonian somavenus. Actually I only looked at the pictures. You got me! But that's what inspired me about the post; look at all that color!

My love of color is somewhat new found and, I'm sure, has a lot to do with Tom.
Raised by a couple of sailors Navy blue has always been a staple. And my collection of white sweaters in high school was surpassed only by my post-high school collection of white dishes.
Interestingly, my palette now seems to be a throwback to Sesame Street and other fond memories of the eighties. Fortunately it goes well with white.
I've yet to mount a full-scale color revolution in my life; I don't know if that's something will happen, might happen, is happening... I don't know. But I do know that (in the great words of Scarlett O'Hara*) I will never be color-hungry again! OK, that's not exactly what she said, but it's what I'm saying!
I've got to do some laundry now, and trim my hair. We are going to Tom's grandfather's funeral tomorrow and are leaving for Bend this evening. I will be seeing some family for the first or second time ever and though it's under sorrowful circumstances it should be a nice trip.
I will be mostly in black so you enjoy some color for me.
*Don't read Gone With the Wind, it's too depressing. And don't watch the movie, it's too awful.
