I don't have a favorite possession. I do have some old photos that I really love. I would, of course, be devastated if I lost any of them. My goodness, think of all that was lost in Japan this week. I cannot wrap my head around it. How am I always so safe?
These are my gold boxes. The top box is a tin I bought myself because it reminded me of the middle box which is a tin my Aunt Annie bought me when I was young. It is a vintage dog biscuit tin with a picture of a little blonde girl on the front she said she thought looked like me. It holds the vintage doll quilt my grandma's mother (or my grandma's grandmother?) made for her out of her old dresses, and the clothes my aunt made for the mermaid doll she made me - I love that doll too. I got to pick her hair, eye and fin colors. They are magenta, blue and purple.
The last box is wooden with gold paint. It was Tom's grandmother's but when she moved to her son's house it was given to me. I really love Tom's grandma. She is so adorable and sweet.
She kept her jewelery in the box, I think. I keep my dollhouse furniture in it now.
I have a vintage dollhouse. It's tin too.
I have a lot of nice things.
