A little list for my day...

This is a view from where I'm sitting, evidence that I've been getting nothing done.
The office in all its storeroom glory
The only time I've left the vacuum out for days - a sign of defeat
The mess is creeping into every corner
This is just funny - The joys of reusing paper

This is a post to keep me on track today.

Yes, it's 2 o'clock, I've had another late start. Tom encouraged me to stay in bed this morning and after a late night and with all that I'm getting over, or fighting off, this time of year, I took little convincing. I could tell he wanted a little rare, quiet computer time. He didn't have to be to work until after noon. When I got up we had eggs on toast and I made his sandwich and looked through a picture book about dinosaurs, laughing at the drawings all the way, and wondering at the mysteries and marvels of the past.
Once he left I wrote a little, as you know, read a little, had some more eggs on toast, and made my own little pot of decaf coffee.
But there is still plenty of day to go and plenty for me to do, especially as I've been avoiding almost everything for a while now. I must...

Put away the clean laundry, if only in neat piles (Tom is working on one of our dressers, stripping the paint)
Vacuum (very well) the whole carpet
Sweep and spot clean the vinyl
Do the dishes (mostly mugs and glasses as we've been eating away from home)
Make some soup with that chicken leg
Clean and gather things to take to Saint Vincent de Paul's
New sheets on the bed
Clean off all the surfaces

I'd like to...

Write another post about who inspires me
Scrub the bathroom (every inch!) 'til it shines
File everything in the office that's lying around
Straighten the books and movies
Figure out what to do with this disaster of an office! <-- not likely

I think that is it for today. I better get a move on anyway.
Here goes nothin'.
