Laundry among other things

Life is to be getting very busy about now, though strangely I'm not getting that much done. I have 2 term papers, constant assignments, dozens of drawings, astronomy quizzes, and 2 exams to consider before my freedom. It hasn't really hit me yet that my freedom is forever. This is really the final stretch. I'm trying to make that motivate me. But really I am motivated by the everything after: plans to buy a house (who knows when), start an Etsy shop, spend time with family and keep up on housework, blogging and letter writing, fill my mind.

Today was a day to get things done! Friday. It and Saturday are set apart for this purpose. But Friday is also the day that I have yoga, and since there is always Saturday to "fall back on" I tend to let the day get away from me and it becomes less of a work day and more of just... a day.

Today I went to yoga in the morning so Lane could join me before she leaves for a visit with her family. Afterward we took my coupons to the shop around the corner and had some coffee and burritos. On my way home I stopped off at a little shop that's more second-hand than vintage. But I did find some wonderful things to sell on a future online shop.

Then I did some astronomy quizzes, though I'm stuck on a question about a black hole. Then I put on Manhattan Murder Mystery, as always, and started in on four loads of laundry.

I couldn't bear to risk losing the softness of our new t-shirts. They got washed on cold and hung up.

I washed our cabin quilt giving it yet more character in the little wrinkles that are forming at the seams. I love how light-filled our kitchen always appears in photos, even on an overcast day like today. On the floor are my vintage finds, waiting to be gone over with a fine-tooth comb.

These look as if they've barely, or never, been worn. I can't wait to see them on a foot they fit.
