I'm so rarely bored

Last night and today I have been listening to this:
...and wanting this:
They are each so good in their own ways and I love them both. The great news is that Tom does too, at least, he loves the movie, and so soon it shall be ours!
I'm not sure how he feels about the CD, but he's the one who bought it for me.

Last night Lane and I had a delirious game of Trivial Pursuit until Tom came home at midnight. I think the consensus was that we tied because although Lane had more pie pieces she recalled that one was gained by cheating and in the lightening round (a thing we've made up) we both scored 2 points. Which, in a game of TP with Lane and I, seems to be the only number of points you can score at any given time. (And it should be noted that these points don't affect the game.) We also introduced the new features: phone a friend (which I used with great success - Bless you, Tom, for being so into Ducktales), ask the audience (in which we just ask the other person before that person has looked at the answer) and 50/50. This last option was a little hard to pull off. If you chose it you would get the real answer and another one that the questioner made up and you would have to decide between them. When Lane used her 50/50 I chose to write the options down because I was sure I'd give it away with my tone of voice. I was thrilled when she chose my fake answer! Because then it was my turn.

Trivial Pursuit is so fun to play with Lane because we're pretty much a match for 30-year-old trivia. But we have different specialties: Lane, the world traveler, likes blue; Dinah, the stay-at-homer, likes brown. We both think green equally easy and yellow, equally hard. And we both hate pink and orange so much and acknowledge them to be so pointless that we read pink as blue and orange as brown and have way more fun because of it.

Gosh, I wish we were playing right now! (I've been a little bored today.)

Since I seem to have so time on my hands (though I'm sure there are things I must be doing) here are some pictures I haven't yet put up of the church baby shower I attended recently for my friend Becky.

She was lovely, it was a sweet day with great food and, as you see, the "babies" were out and adorable as ever.

Congratulations, Becky! I can't wait for you to add another one to the pile.
