We have a new apartment!
here it is: (the complex)

I took this image from Craigslist - more are to follow. We are "moving in" Sunday, or up until we get this place (this one I'm sitting in at the moment) rented.
I will miss this place. I'll miss the spaciousness and the orange counters and the green stove and the funky linoleum and the brown carpet (and the dark wood). I really do like it. I like that every room is a square, it feels very modern sometimes. The kitchen makes a cube in the center of the apartment - very modern, very dwell magazine. But it is definitely time to upgrade from the water damage and the college-kid neighborhood and to upgrade to on-site laundry and a dishwasher. When we got the chance to do all that for the very same price we're paying now we had to pounce!
We will be living in Springfield. I will start taking the bus again like I did in the good old days. I have missed that, believe it or not. And today after we signed the papers we walked over to our friend Jessica's house, now, right down the way! And it was a nice walk.
Instead of red party cups there were toys or flowers littering the yards. The home kitty-corner to our place is so cool. And we are in the top front part of the house pictured on the corner so we can see that and our huge tree from our many windows. That tree is awesome.
I can't wait to tell you more but I've got so much to do! We found, viewed and rented the place over 3 days time and we've got to get someone moved in The Cube before the end of the month! Maybe we should throw the couches into the deal. They won't fit through the hall of our new place. That's OK, we didn't really have space for them in there anyway.
My kitchen is SO much bigger - as is the bathroom.
OK. More later.

We're super excited to have you as neighbors! Maggie and I walk past there all the time.
