As I stood in our main room and declared to Tom last night:
This place is a mess!
Not a MESS, mess or mess, mess.
But after choose-your-own-adventure dinner last night (for which potatoes and bacon were fried in a big greasy mess and crackers were consumed in bed) and Tom showing up much earlier than I thought he would (just when I started cleaning the kitchen!) and convincing me that we should watch a movie and go to bed at 9, and after school/shopping/home-with-barely-enough-time-to-write-a-paper day, before that, it's calling for me to put off my other duties (done!) and pull it out of squalor... (not squalor, squalor).
I'm also going to make pizza dough. The recipe I'm going to use is here. But don't look at me if it doesn't turn out well for you because I haven't tried it yet! (My first pizza dough.)
I'm also going to scrape the paint off the 12-dollar mirror we got for 6 dollars and that I hung the other night with much craftiness as it wasn't really a mirror but a door, or something, when we bought it. It looks great above our TV, I'm very happy. I had so much trouble deciding what to hang there because we have a very tall ceiling and something had to fill up the space, but I didn't like drawing even more attention to our gigantic, inherited (I would have never bought a TV that big! Though, I love the "experience") flat screen.
The mirror is exactly the same width as the TV and the two make complimentary lines that I'm very happy with. Now we have to hang the quilt above the bed and give that sucker something to reflect! (I'm sure Tom can see his face, but I can't see anything but white wall.)

My beautiful frames from Brooke and their black and white prints have been displaced by the new mirror... I should find a place for these soon; and hang my other ex-door mirror (yes, it's quite a fad) that's been propped up on the dresser for weeks! Someday it's going to fall over and poke somebodies eye out! Not really, but that's something my mom would say and I'm basically turning into her.
Did you know we sleep in our main room? We're quite bohemian. I thought that might clarify what was going on here. If you cared enough to be confused...
OK! Cleaning.
P.S. It's raining. Isn't that nice? I love looking out my window onto the tree-crowded hill, across the downtown from our apartment, that is always more or less covered in clouds. This is a great place to live.

Can I just say, Dee, I LOVE reading your posts! I miss you and it always makes me feel like you're right here! We need to hang out soon because this is just unacceptable. Also, I need some education on how to post a picture on my blog. How can I be a real blogger without it!?!?! GASP!!
