I still haven't found my camera's battery charger, and it's retrieval is not looking imminent as it's Midterm week and I woke up sick this morning. Thanks, Stress!
I do have a couple of photos from my phone. Nothing of my Easter decorations, or my egg-shaped cake, or the fruit platter I made for church brunch, or the whole church sitting through the service around tables like a big family, or me forcing Tom dig through his Easter basket before he was fully conscious, or of Tom and Lane on the goose chase I sent them on, or me falling asleep while we watched Porco Rosso, or Lane and I learning to play poker, or Tom beating our butts, or the delicious stew and buttery fingerling potatoes Lane made us.
But I do have a picture of Scarlet!
Isn't she an angel? She's barely changed since last I saw her - what a good niece! This is the first picture message from Amelia that's gotten to me in awhile. I have been desperate for any sight of this sweet, hairless (as she should be) little girl.
I was having a bad day. I was tired - fighting off whatever just beat me today - and grumpy. What a pick-me-up these were! They pick me up quite a few inches. And they're Nine West so they're way more comfortable than they look. And they're second-hand so they were cheaper than they look too. I took these pictures in the shop while I was deciding whether I needed them or not. All it took was the shop woman heading over to the shoe section with another customer to assure me that I did. I swooped in with a mumbled apology and snatched these puppies up!

They weren't the most practical buy, I suppose, but they sure are fun, and I'm going to wear them, a lot! You just wait. (I already wore them to Grocery Outlet!)

So, all-in-all, things could be worse. Now I've gotta get back to watching Manhattan Murder Mystery - I mean studying and writing! And doing laundry and dishes... oh, there's so much to do!
