I can't wait!

I love Seattle! My first trip there was only just last summer, despite being a West-Coaster for life, in spite of the fact that my favorite color is gray and my favorite weather is clouds and wind, despite it being my mother's hometown, and for a while in spite of a big chuck of Tom's family (half of his cousins) living there. But they finally were the pull we needed to make my virgin voyage north.
Last year cousin Audrey and her Matt were married and we had the best time in the world staying in Pensione Nichols around the corner from Pike Place Market; buying our huge, old map print; eating seafood by the water like fat and happy tourists; and seeing (or meeting for the first time) our wonderful cousins, aunts, uncles and other family and with them laughing and dancing the night away.

Tom's family is so exciting to me as I've only had one female cousin most of my life. Tom has hordes of cousins, mostly male, all around our age and all of whom are a lot of fun.
And we timed things perfectly; Tom was the first cousin of them all to get married, so I get to attend, as family, everyone else's weddings. And I love weddings.
This summer it is cousin Hans and Jamie who will be taking the plunge and their plans sound so fun. We'll be heading back up to Seattle, trying out a new bed and breakfast, and hopefully, if Tom's schedule allows, spending days enjoying the city and the family through various events planned.

I'll fill you in on more when our plans are more solid and I have more time. But for now I am dreaming, dreaming of a five day trip to the gray, salt-smelling wonderland with my favorite travelling companion to see our wonderful family on the happiest kind of occasion.
